About Play & Learn Family Daycare

Play and Learn Family Daycare is a home daycare located in Lomita, California, adjacent to Torrance and the South Bay. We are licensed for a maximum of fourteen children, license number 197409490. The preschool has an activity room dedicated to the children and a fenced outdoor play area full of slides and tricycles.

Our approach to childcare:

The Play & Learn Family Daycare is a place where infants and young children receive a creative and nurturing experience that will provide them with a strong foundation. The activities we provide are meant to advance your child intellectually, socially, emotionally and physically.

We offer childcare in an environment that stimulates multiple forms of intelligence and provides a low student-to-teacher ratio. Both the teacher and the teacher assistants are specialists in early childhood development, with multiple certifications. The daycare facility is housed in a modern facility that is equipped with new and innovative toys, learning materials and resource guides.

About our staff

Nadia Saleem, aka “Miss Nadia”, is a former elementary teacher who continues to reinforce her skills through continuing education.  She started Play and Learn Family Daycare nine years ago. There are two other full-time staff including a preschool teacher who heads the crafts and reading activities. All our teachers have been fingerprinted and are certified in CPR and First Aid.
